After graduation, I moved to New York City to work at Business Insider. It was an intense four months: the humidity (especially in the subways), learning how to navigate the subways (I got on so many express trains when trying to go a couple stops), figuring out which bodega had the best $1.50 coffee — plus knocking off all the items on my bucket list. I toured Central Park every weekend, spent countless hours exploring the Met (and barely explored it), got lost in Bloomingdale’s… the list goes on. The one thing I never got to do though was walk the Brooklyn Bridge!

So on our recent trip to New York last week, I knew we had to get ‘er done. We went fairly early, around 10 am, but even then there were swarms of tourists around! Once you got past all the booths selling selfie sticks and tacky tourists caps, we reached the main area, where, if you timed it right, could get a shot with almost no one in the background!

We spent the day catching up with my brother-in-law, who also happens to be a professional photographer, and took all these awesome pictures. After walking the Brooklyn Bridge, we strolled through Chinatown playing the tourist, trying out all the buns and searching out all the cool nooks and crannies. More to come in a follow up post.

It was a breezy day and I loved how the dress flowed in the wind. It was super comfy and extremely stylish — you could easily dress it up with a pair of heels or wear it with a cute pair of sneakers or sandals. And best of all, it had pockets!!
