I recently stumbled across this nifty infographic from HeroX – a social media checklist! It’s a pretty thorough resource that definitely puts your social media activity into perspective.
As you may have read in my bio, I’m a social fanatic: I blog about 3 times per week, curate content from others, schedule posts on social media via HootSuite about 3 times per week, check in on Foursquare minimum twice per day, respond to Twitter mentions, RTs, etc. all in real time … the list goes on. On average though, I’d estimate I spend about 3 hours per day on social media.
After reading through this checklist, I’ve reached the conclusion that while I’m doing well on Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Foursquare and my blog, I’m severely lacking on my Pinterest account (and I don’t even have a Reddit account – do you?). So far I haven’t seen the full benefits of those 2 platforms, and given the amount of time I currently spend online, should allocate my time appropriately. All in all, I think this is a great resource that should be adapted according to your needs and current social media activity.
