My Favourite Things: Holiday Edition

Holiday Gift Guide

You guys, how is it already December 12? This time of year is always extra special, and even though it’s one of the busiest times both personally and professionally, I try to get things wrapped up enough so that I can put my phone away and enjoy the holidays with my family. Speaking of extra special, if you’re looking for something small for that loved one in your life or maybe even want to just treat yourself, I wanted to share 5 of my favourite things this month that are tried and personally tested by yours truly. So without further ado, here are my Favourite Things: Holiday Edition!

IDC+ Hydra UV Protect: If only I had listened to my mom! *sigh* I never wore sunscreen as a kid and used to be a lizard in the sun. Now that I’m noticing a handful of wrinkles and sun spots across my face, I  wish I had taken precaution earlier. Nowadays, I always lather SPF everywhere, especially focusing around the thinner parts on my face (around the eyes and neck), even in the winter time and on cloudy days. This new cream from IDC is nice and rich, but without leaving a greasy residue on your face for hours after. I have combination skin and this product works perfectly for me. A little bit goes a long way—about a pea sized amount is all you need—and then you’re set for the day. It’s a win-win!

Aēsop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm: These dry winter months have not been kind to my hands. Not only does this balm smell amazing but is so rich, one tiny drop is all you’ll need to return your hands back to their normal smooth, supple softness. I love visiting all Aēsop stores just for the experience alone, but this hand balm is a must have!

Saje Peppermint Halo: I can’t say enough about this stuff. If you want to read my full experience with Saje, you can check out this blog post. You can never have enough of these, and no joke, I have one for each bag I own, plus an extra because you’ll never know when you’ll need to #SpreadWellness! 😉

Daniel Wellington watch: I’m a huge fan of these classically elegant watches and right now, one of the best deals for gifts is the DW Holiday Bundle. Comprised of a watch and cuff, these bundles are currently 10% off PLUS an extra 15% off if you use my code “MSANADOUGLAS.” Shipping is free for all Canadians so there’s really no reason for you to not get one, right?

THYMES Frasier Fir Aromatic Candle: Forget gingerbread or roasted chestnuts. If I close my eyes and think of what Christmas smells like, this would be it. This candle from THYMES is the epitome of the holiday season and if I could, I’d burn this in my home all year long. Plus, unlike other candles, it doesn’t burn or smoke after prolonged use.
